NV Andresen White 40YO (bottled 2021)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 2021. A deep amber colour with a green rim, 30% opaque. A hint of VA on the nose, the nose of an old wine full of furniture polish - rich and lovely. Thick and unctuous on the palate, with an incredible intensity of flavours matched by the acidity. A wonderful citrus oil and citrus zest finish of huge volume. This is a fabulous example of an old white Port. Served blind. 93/100. Drunk 17-May-22.

Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
