NV Poças Reserve Ruby
Purchased from Portugal Vineyards, pre-Brexit.

This is a lovely ruby reserve, maybe one of the best I've had. Cherries on the nose. Really rich on the palate, on the sweet side but not unpleasantly so. Cherry fruits, verging on glacé sweetness, maybe Kirsch. Caramel and strawberry. A touch of pepper spice, and some chocolate, along with eucalyptus and some acidity to balance. Not a long finish but not short either. For a reserve this is very enjoyable, provided you have a sweet tooth. V good.
