Re: Tue 08 Feb 2022: A Cellar Reduction Party

Way back in August 2014, AHB lessened his stack of excess bottles with “A Cellar Reduction Party”. My turn.

Bring yourself. I’ll bring some oddments which might interest.

Current planning is:
  1. Quinta do Crasto Touriga Nacional 2006;
  2. Offley 1980;
  3. Offley 1972;
  4. Delaforce 1970;
  5. Dow 1970;
  6. Graham Malvedos 1990;
  7. Royal Oporto 1977;
  8. Nacional 1987;
  9. Taylor 1955 (low-fill);
  10. KWV 1985 Vintage ‘Port’, from South Africa.
If we are too many people for just these, I’ll add some more.

Of course, if any of the rarities are wanted for a better purpose (horizontal, vertical, whatever) then those can be withdrawn.

Who’s in?

I would love to join! Might need to work out where I'll stay, but I can sort something out.

Apologies, misread the date and I don't think I can make this.

Your oddments are of great interest to a child of 1970, but unfortunately I don't think I can join you. If you need to reduce your cellar any more of such oddments, do let me know!

Should you decide a different evening would suffice, then I'm almost certainly available.

Would the date originally planned for the Library Release v UK Stored be suitable for this tasting? 16th Feb?

Wish I could, would love to see an Offley 72 out perform a Nacional… but having two nights away this week and another would be a tasting too far.

Sorry can't do 8th. 16th works if the date changes.

16th it is.

I’ve attempted to update the attendees consistent with that. Please report corrections, and additions.

Unable to do this date unfortunately, but I wish you all a good evening helping Julian very generously make space for more Port in his cellar!
