1924 Dow

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Dow 1924: decanted 3 hours. Mature bronze colour. Wonderful nose of mature, sweet and spiced fruit. Quite watery texture, dry core with huge acidity. Plenty of fruit on the palate but still showing some barely hidden tannins. Bitter edge to the fruit. Bitter grapefruit finish of good length. Astonishing to think this is nearly 100 years old yet so big and bold. Lovely. 91/100. Drunk 28-Sep-21.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Was this from a 1/2 bottle (375ml)?
