I recently acquired an unknown bottle, believed to be Vintage Port. It comes in a flat bottomed brown glass bottle which is similar but different to the Ferreira bottle.

The key feature on the bottle is the rampant lion crest moulded into the shoulder. This crest is very annoyingly familiar but I just can’t place it and can’t find a reference to such a crest in my notes.

Does anyone know which shipper(s) might have used this symbol at some point in the past - probably the 1940s to 1960s?

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

There's a couple on the Taylor's crest but the modern rendering doesn't look like that.

It is an instruction to only drink it with a Scotsman.
