NV Churchill Tawny 20YO (bottled 2021)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 2021. One of the bottles included in the Port Club packs under the category "The Right Time".

Copper red colour, 30% opaque. Lovely red toffee apple nose. Elegant and balanced entry, a spritely wine bouncing on its appley acidic toes. Warm nutty flavours in gentle toffee and apple fruit. A little grapefruit and golden syrup on the aftertaste and on the long, long finish. A nice wine giving very pleasurable drinking. 89/100. drunk 28-Oct-21. Open for 1 day.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
