2011 Burmester

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

By the glass from UVA by Calem @ EUR15 from a freshly opened bottle. Served slightly chilled. Nosing of grass and flower perfume, sweet and delightful. Perfect ripe fruit on the palate, generous tannins combine to give a fabulous palate. Rich and mouthfilling, such a great palate. Fruit floods the the mouth on the aftertaste, followed by a long sour cherry and dark chocolate finish. Big and rich. A wonderful Port. 91/100.

This is a Port which just underlines the quality of the 2011 vintage. Drunk 24-Sep-21. Pop 'n' pour from a fresh bottle.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
