First of 3-pack acquired at auction in 2018. Double - decanted at 0730 on 16/11/21. Some fine sediment. QC check of dregs satisfactory.

Pale rim.

Licorice on the palate, then figs.

Nice port but not outstanding in this company.

50% opacity, dark red. Dark fruit and bramble on the nose. Rish and full mouthfeel, tannin backbone, dryness, blackberries, spice...and violets. Great balance. Very nice I thought.

Double decanted for 13 hours. Deep red with mature tones and a wide rim. Fresh red fruit on the nose, lots of redcurrant and redcurrant jelly. Quite acidic entry, but with plenty of redcurrant fruit and a lovely sweet and floral Canteloupe melon. Lots of acidity on the aftertaste, the fruit still quite young. A lovely red cherry and redcurrant aftertaste with some aniseed heat on a relatively short finish. Tasty and pleasant and one which will be better in another five years. 88/100. 16-Nov-21. Decanted 13 hours.
