2021 Virtual Tasting #16 - Thu 28 Oct

Post by nac »

There is a virtual event in the planner for this Thursday.

No theme, so suggest freestyle unless attendees want to agree something.

Any takers?

I’m away so won’t be available. Not sure if MPM can do his Zoom magic?

Interested:
  • SCD
  • RichN (maybe)
  • etc…

Most likely available if there are any takers and Mike can provide the magic as Neil says.

If MPM isn't around then I'm sure one of the attendees will have a free Zoom account?

I won’t be able to make this Thursday. Sorry folks.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Unless there is a sudden surge of interest, I think it best we cancel this one and wait until the next.

Yes please! It will serve as a very nice warm-up for a dinner at the Herb Farm to celebrate Vic's 50th birthday.

If we are few and no one has a paid Zoom available, I have a free account and can give it a go.

I will likely not have a taste of the Port I plan to open for dinner, as dinner is a large group and the DR 50 Year Old White Port should not need decanting. (It was bottled ... a month or two ago?) So I'll probably be finishing off an S. Leonardo 30 Year Old Tawny Port and an S. Leonardo 10 Year Old White Port.

If we are Zoom-less, magic might be within the powers of Mrs W.

Unless Mrs. W. has a paid account that can keep us online indefinitely, I will send you a link via PM at 7:30. (Which, IIRC, is 11:30 am here. 30 minutes from now.)

A quorum of 2 was established. Justin and I had a pleasant morning (for me) and evening (for him) drinking Port.

Here's looking forward to Virtual Tasting #17! :CC0033:

Apologies for not making it. When it seemed unlikely I was retimetabled (good word ?) for family duties. I hope to be one of many at #17
