"Possibly Past It" Bordeaux & Burgundy Wine Dinner
Boot & Flogger, Green Room - 7pm, Tuesday 7th December 2021

Following previous Ridge and Jaboulet events where we've had a few bottles of something that isn't Port, and then a couple of bottles that are, an opportunity has arisen to try a number of bottles of Bordeaux and Burgundy that might be described as being "beyond their recommended drinking windows".

Bottles include 1955 Rauzan-Gassies, 1970 Gruaud Larose, a couple of 1982 minor chateux from the Mouiex stable, 1996 Bonneau du Martray Corton Charlemagne, 1999 Angerville Vonay Clos de Ducs, and various others.

This works for a maximum eight heads and there are a couple of spaces still available.

To add some clarification - the majority of these bottles were obtained from reputable sources (mainly Corney & Barrow) for relatively small sums, and the 1982s are not Petrus.

OJW is now going to have to be away; a further place thus becomes available (albeit it could be filled by HEM).

George - no interest expressed from elsewhere, so the place is Helen's if she wants it.

An interesting line-up is being presented, including two Grand Cru Corton-Charlemagnes, a couple of 82 Bordeauxs and Ausone 1990.

Seems I missed seeing this gathering taking place. Is it possible to get a reminder for a similar event in the future. I can definitely bring some bottles to the table, mainly Bordeaux. Thanks.
