Purchased from Waitrose for use in the kitchen, the leftovers being available for drinking. The label says "refined in oak for 24 months".

A deep honey brown colour, with a hint of a green edge; 30% opaque. Lovely complex nose with blood orange and honey. The honey follows on to the palate but is balanced by subtle acidity. Gentle, mild flavours mill about in the mouth, bumping in to each other from time to time. Soft and well rounded. There is a sharp elbow in the throat on the aftertaste as the acidity kicks in, showing a little bitterness, but this quickly settles to a quince and kumquat finish of good length. Subtle on the palate, but big on the finish, this is a good wine for someone to start to learn about Marsala. 87/100. Opened 10-Aug-21 and tasted 3 days later.
