Recently came across this Ferreira 1960 on Instagram. Does anyone know what's up with the label? Could it be fake? That label style only started to be used in 1975 for all I know.

I've seen that same style of label on several older vintages of Ferreira, so wouldn't be too worried by that; am mildly surprised by the bottle-shape though, which I haven't seen the '60 in before.

1945 doesn't seem to have that label either.
At least every other site has a different label.

Have a look at http://www.hallarn.com/vpid/vpid_displa ... eyear=2011 for a variety of label-types across several vintages.

I have this same standard round shouldered bottle of 1960 Ferreira and it came directly from their USA importer. So I know it's authentic. (1970 also came in the standard round shouldered VP type bottle). The one in the pic above has a modern Selo, so it was labeled sometime after the early 1970's. It's not unheard of for bottling runs to end up using different bottles.
