Average age of the wines in the blend is over 20 years.

Thick, dark and opaque brown, so dark it's almost black. When the wine is swirled it coats the glass with an olive brown stain. Restrained nose, sous bois dampened by recent rain, complex and perfumed but with a delicious sharpness to it. So thick in texture, like liquid raisins or Christmas Pudding in a glass. Multiple layers of flavour come all at the same time; incredibly sweet yet with acidity to balance the sweetness. A huge aftertaste, such concentrated honey and even a hint of tannin giving a dryness to the finish that counters the sweet ness really well. Dark, dense and intense. A very impressive wine. One or two sips is all you need! 95/100. Drunk 10-Dec-20.
