Essenca do vinho Ferreira Vintage Port Tasting

Anything to do with Port.

If you were at the Essencia do vinho and you had to make a choice: Would you rather have attended the Sogevinus Colheita or the Ferreira VP tasting?

Essenca do vinho Ferreira Vintage Port Tasting

Post by Axel P »

Guys, the best tastings are these, when you do not really expect them. A Ferreira VP Tasting consisting of VP 1994, 1978, 1966, 1947, 1917 and 1863 (Garafeira).

Lucky me Part 1

Axel

Wow! What a wonderful surprise - what did you think of the wines?
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Lucky boy!!

I could not have turned down the chance of tasting an 1863 VP so I voted for that option.

Not bad at all! If forced, I would choose the VP tasting, for the same reason as Derek.
