Ck17: Grit, Tayloresque, and plum, and good sweetness. But this, more than most of this vintages, needs cellar time.

B5: Slightly high toned nose turning peachy with dense fruit with green flecks underlying. Quite complex and attractive already. Very fruit driven and mouthfilling. Good balance and long fruit driven finish. Excellent prospect (assuming VA doesn’t start to poke out).

I didn't find as much depth here as some other ports from the tasting, but I did find this light and easy to drink. Mostly dark fruits, blackberries and plums. I'll be interested to see how this goes over time. Good

Tasted blind. Very dark red in colour with an opaque rim and a very limited nose. A lovely texture to the wine, smooth and velvety at first. Soft milk chocolate tannins infused with violets dominate the gentle palate. Parma violets and dusty icing sugar lead on the good length finish. Rather a regal wine. 89-91/100.
