Bs17: great balance and structure, and perfume. Mid-weight, with good sweetness. I wonder whether expensive?

B4: Another immediately attractive nose. Densely fruity. Palate also has concentration and latent power with balance and grip. Hidden structure and seems delicious even now. Seems to be destined for early drinking but could be deceptive. Very good to excellent.

This was one of my outstanding ports from those I tasted. Lovely, with lots of plum and a little dark chocolate in the back of the palate, depth of flavour is great. Strong gripping tannins too so plenty of potential for a long future. Excellent!

Tasted blind. Black and impenetrable in colour. Fragrant on the nose with round and ripe fruit lifting from the glass, fruit which is sweet and fat. A lovely texture to the entry, nicely balanced with ripe and fresh fruit supported by lovely big tannins that are perfectly integrated to give a great mouthful of Port. The finish is full of purple flavoured tannins that give a great finish. A very fine Port. 93-95/100.
