S48, brick red, 40% opaque. Dry mature Port. Strawberry mid-palate, mid weight. Heat mid palate. Late palate a little cherry, but only little fruit remains. AHB remarked “cinnamon”. Lovely Port, slightly over-mature.

Bronzed red colour, 40% opaque. Nosing of cinnamon and mace over baked currant cake that combines to give a wonderful nose. The texture is delightful, the flavours full and rich at first but the structure and fragrance flood through the mid-palate, highlighted by cinnamon and sandalwood. Rich and complex with great acidity; some fire on the aftertaste that gives a long and gentle heat and a red cinnamon stick finish. This is a beautiful wine with lots of power and an infinite life ahead of it. 94/100. 12-Dec-18.
