Tasting notes:

Note: on the evening, we opened what was expected to be a 1935 Cockburn and discovered it to be a 1950 Cockburn, hence two entries for 1950 Cockburn in the tasting notes.

30% opacity, mature red. Menthol and red fruits on the nose. Soft entry, dryness mid palate, red fruit, nice balance. Mature, very nice.

Deep red colour, 70% opaque. An attractive nose bringing sweet fruit, mainly flavoursome raspberry. Youthful tannins appear on the palate, which is generous and with plenty of fruit that changes to give plenty of development. As with the 1967, this shows a lovely fragrance on the palate. Delicate sweet raspberry dominates the aftertaste with a lot of tannin and a delicate balance to the raspberry jelly. 90/100
