Tasting notes:

Note: on the evening, we opened what was expected to be a 1935 Cockburn and discovered it to be a 1950 Cockburn, hence two entries for 1950 Cockburn in the tasting notes.

25% opacity, amber brown. Dried red fruit. Smooth, delicate, refined, rich. Lovely, lovely port. Soft, sweet, good fruit and in balance.

Mature brick red, 40% opaque. Not much on the nose other than a little sweet nectar. An odd palate, fresh and with plentiful fruit rather than the mature tertiary-toned flavours expected. The palate is balanced with lovely fruit and acidity. Bitter cranberry finish and a huge length. A very lovely bottle. 92/100.
