Tasting notes:
Note: on the evening, we opened what was expected to be a 1935 Cockburn and discovered it to be a 1950 Cockburn, hence two entries for 1950 Cockburn in the tasting notes.

More red in tone than the other 1950 shown alongside; opaque due to the slight cloudiness of the wine. Sweet and flabby on the nose, but a swirl brings out a little more fruit and makes the nose attractive. Decent texture on the palate, sweet with tertiary dates and some plum. Plentiful fruit on the mid-palate that is fresh and nicely balanced and with surprising vigour. A wonderful aftertaste of big fruit and ghostly tannins delivering a big chocolate kick on the finish. Surprisingly good. 90/100.
