Tasting notes:
Note: on the evening, we opened what was expected to be a 1935 Cockburn and discovered it to be a 1950 Cockburn, hence two entries for 1950 Cockburn in the tasting notes.

25% opacity, brown, yellow rim, slightly cloudy. Ripe red fruit on the nose. Dry entry, still some strawberry there. Lively, good balance. Long dry strawberry finish. Little bit flabby though, on the fade.

Dark olive brown with a slight red hint; 50% opaque but slightly murky. Not much showing on the nose, very muted. Perfumed entry, full of rose-water and icing sugar. Smooth brown sugar entry with good levels of acidity lead to a very smooth and pleasant palate but showing none of the power normally expected from this vintage. Gentle flavours of caramel smooth over the heat that shows on the aftertaste before a long finish of scorched sugar and Seville Orange marmalade. 88/100.
