In honour of the forthcoming nuptials of Prince Henry of Wales KCVO and Miss Rachel Meghan Markle, we gathered on Tuesday 15th May 2018 to drink ‘Port Fit for a (New) Duchess’, the theme being an echo of Port Fit for a Queen enjoyed on the occasion of Her Majesty’s reign exceeding that of Victoria.

Labelled "Sainsbury's Vintage Collection". A pale copper-red colour about 30% opaque. Soft on the nose full of mace, dried fruit and stewed raisins. A lovely, slightly thickened texture full of sweet golden sultana with subtle and gentle nuances of flavour. The same subtlety and elegance leads onto the gentle finish of sweet redcurrant jelly. Refined and elegant port. 88/100.
