Gentle and soft, enjoyable. Started to get somewhat sharper later.

30% opacity, copper brown, slightly cloudy. tobacco on the nose. Slightly hot entry, fruit fading, bitterness on the finish.
Given how Tom suggested the Offley was lightstruct, I thought this mght have had potentially similar issues though not as pronounced as the Offley.

RP63: red-brown, 30% opaque. Smooth and oleaginous; smoke early palate; acidity late palate.

My first experience of the Ramos Pinto 1963 - thank you Axel! Pale orange-red in colour, slightly cloudy. Fresh red fruit salad on the nose, liverly and very much awake. Poised entry, thoughtful and reflective before elegantly revealing soft and sweet flavours — sweet yet also fragrant. The flavours develop well on the palate. A big burst of acidity flashes over the aftertaste to prepare the palate for a long and very lovely finish full of shortbread and chocolate powder. Just slightly too sweet on the finish. A very pleasant Port which I thoroughly enjoyed. 88/100.
