SW Madelana 1988

Post by DRT »

I have found a source for this near me.

I am already planning to buy a case at the price quoted above but if we reach critical mass I may be able to negotiate further discount. One other is also in for a case.

Anyone outside the UK or anyone in the UK who I do not see on a fairly regular basis would have to pay shipping costs on top of the quoted price.

Please vote if you want some and PM or post here to let me know who you are.

The purchase will happen in March 08

Thanks

Derek

Is that a secondary type, or a SQ? I'm strugling on the Port front at the moment, but I'll have a think.

It is an SQVP.

Quinta de Madelena is the only Quinta owned by Smith Woodhouse and is therefore, I would assume, the backbone of their VP.

The 1988 is the only vintage I have had but AHB has also had it and been impressed. I think Fred has possibly also had it and was of a similar view. There are three TN's posted on this site.

The purchase will happen in March 08.

I may have accidentally called "case" when "six" would have done but interested.

No one will be held to account for their vote. All I want is a ballpark figure to approach the merchant and say "How much discount for around X cases?"
