1970 Pocas jr. - Request for advice

Post by Axel P »

Has someone on this forum ever laid hand on the Pocas Jr. Vintage Port 1970? I might have the chance to get some, but even in Broadbents notes I cant find anything about it.

Thanks in advance

Sorry, I've never had a single port from Pocas.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

If they are reasonably priced, they sound like they're worth a punt just for curiousity value!

No TN, but I did find this phrase in Oldenborg's "Port": "Poças made its first Vintage in 1960, then in 1963, 1970, 1975, 1977, and 1978 but the first succesful one was produced in 1985."

If you decide to buy it, let us know how it was.
