One quiz at a time
Re: One quiz at a time
No tricks. I will say that I am no longer where I was.

Singapore
Re: One quiz at a time
Still in Terra Australis.
Re: One quiz at a time
Another clue: I would need to be where I was, to be where I have been suggested to be.

Perth, because it is the home of the 'national paranoia network'
Re: One quiz at a time
A lovely place it is too. I have often thought I might retire there as it's only half an hour from Edinburgh.LGTrotter wrote:Perth, because it is the home of the 'national paranoia network'

Well I AM in Perth. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I went through a body scanner at the airport and felt a little paranoid!

And a nice town it is too

Daniel's question on cricket photography reminded me that we have not heard from this thread for a while. You must have thought of a question by now Owen?!

I hereby seize ancient powers.
Within the last few months I bought a bottle of an alcoholic drink. It was opened soon after purchase, and a glass drunk. My guess is that it will take me more than a year, and possibly several, to finish it. Indeed, I haven’t had another glass since. What is it, precisely?

A vermouth? Presumably you are well enough brought up to know that one only shows it to the glass from a distance when making a proper martini.

I completely agree that the correct quantity of vermouth is measured in parts per billion. But no, not that.djewesbury wrote:A vermouth? Presumably you are well enough brought up to know that one only shows it to the glass from a distance when making a proper martini.

I asked for “precisely”. So I’ll allow ten posts from now. If within ten posts somebody get my favourite Pastis, that person wins. But if not within ten posts, AW77 has it.

Re: One quiz at a time
When somebody else guesses, should these guesses be counted as your immediate response? Tempting though it is, it would allow others, waking after a repose, to make several quick consecutive guesses. Which would reward repose. So no, they don’t count.djewesbury wrote:Less amusing second time.
But I had to think it through.
Nonetheless, I don’t know that brand of Pastis.
