The clues:
  • It is a whisky from and island with one distillery;
  • You could drive from the distillery to Wales.

But there is only one island distillery that you can drive to Wales from without using a car ferry.

OK. It is a whisky produced by a lone distillery on an island off the coast of Scotland. There are only about four of those. There is one island off the coast of Scotland that can be driven to (or from) without the use of a ferry.

Before you mentioned that you can drive from there to Wales, I thought you might have been drinking a Japanese whisky. Don't they make good whiskys?

Mr Somerset already said Talisker, and that's the only one on Skye. Are you sure you're not drinking it? I mean, that's not the answer?

Like LG guessed; it has to be Talisker, the only one on Skye, which is an island accessible by bridge.

I cannot find a post where Owen guessed Talisker. Unless someone can point me to it the next question belongs to SCP-DFF.

Ah. I didn't see that because every time Owen and Daniel go off on one of their arty-farty discussions about books, poetry or other cultural pursuits I glaze over and skip to the next post.

You should do a question. You spotted the Talisker. You went down a storm amongst an adoring public.

I am ignored, even by Derek and have some to-ing and fro-ing to do this evening.

So go on, our breath is bated.

Oh goody. Thank you! :)

Last night my husband and I were enjoying a nice evening by the fire, drinking our Talisker bottle together (he had 7/8th of it), with good conversation and general lovely-couple-time. We were discussing a common topic between us, and at one point I said, "I can't imagine having !" and then I paused. Then JDAW proceeded to brace himself with the look 'I don't know what's coming next' on his face, and saying, "Three heads? A case of Nacional 1931? Child with Down's syndrome?"

What was it that I actually couldn't imagine having?

That's just silly. The problem is not that one cannot imagine having a case of 1931 Nacional, the problem is that one can only imagine having a case of 1931 Nacional.
