My day has become more complicated — I need to attend a funeral in Poole. So I’ll be coming direct from that to this.

Either:
• Pls can I transfer a G66 to somebody before then? Or
• Pls may I adopt rather than bring?

There is now a small but positive chance that I might be able to make this tasting (arrangements for the bft are progressing well) - please could I have the last seat?

Assuming I am able to make it, the only 1966 VP I own which is not already being brought is Berry Brothers Own Selection. Or I could just bring a second bottle of Fonseca. After all, why would we not want to have two bottles of the wine of the night?

I’m guessing 2-3 hours in a decanter for some of the “lighter” 66s; maybe 4-5 for some of the “heavier” examples.

I plan to decant the Avery and Warre at about 0800 into screw tops which will then be sealed and refrigerated before bringing along in the evening.
