OK ... I've just spoken with the B&F and there is defiantly no Bearnaise sauce available .... and yes they have removed green beans and replaced them with spinach !!!

HOWEVER - they suggest we try ordering green beans in advance and they will see what they can do .....

Please could I have:
S: Potted Devon crab
M: Ribeye (rare) with Stilton sauce, fries, green beans (or spinach if they cannot accommodate)
S: Welsh rarebit

That's a real shame, they've been fine with it for a long time as long as we ordered in advance. Ah well - thanks for trying; I've updated above to have peppercorn instead. Maybe we'll persuade them to bring it back onto the menu again one day, but no breath-holding.

I did consider that option; my favourite if I don't make it myself is from Waitrose in fresh packet rather than a jar, but which freezes OK too - but I would not want to be rude.

Desert: Welsh rarebit

My food order:
S - smoked salmon
M - sausage and mash (large)
D - rarebit

I was going to wait until the evening to see whether I wanted anything else after my main; but I already know whether I want to watch 10+ people eating Welsh rarebit without me or not; I've updated above.
