1983 Chateau Talbot
The fifth of the six bottles I took as my share of a case bought from Fine & Rare with Rob Coombes. Exquisite; ripe and mature on the nose and palate with a fabulous elegance and perfect point of maturity. A wonderful mature claret. 92/100. Drunk at the Sailoft in Looe on 24 March 2016.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
