Burmester Extra selected Vintage

Post by JB vintage »

We had a discussion about Burmester. On most vintage bottles from Burmester it says "extra selected" vintage. Is this just a generic expression to make it sound better, or is there vintage port from Burmester that is not "extra selected"?

As far as I am aware it is marketing guff, in the same way that Fonseca used to use "Finest" and Graham used to use something similar on their VP labels.
