One quiz at a time
Re: One quiz at a time
No so far. A clue: it's the capital of a small country.

Not that small though. But in the right part of Europe.

Copenhagen
Re: One quiz at a time
Yes, it's Copenhagen. My next guess would have been that people in this country are officially fond of Warre's.flash_uk wrote:Copenhagen
On new year's eve, the Danes go completely crazy and throw firecrackers around like mad. The Danish Post seals all postboxes with bolts in Copenhagen two days before new year's eve because people would trow firecrackers inside.
Flash, it's your turn now, again.

OK, I only drank one alcoholic drink this weekend. What was it?
Re: One quiz at a time
Not beer, not meths!
Re: One quiz at a time
Champagne?
Re: One quiz at a time
Yes, it was Champagne. I could drag it out looking for the producer, but I would end up likely needing to give a clue which would then make it relatively easy! Your turn Julian.jdaw1 wrote:Champagne?
Re: One quiz at a time
This weekend just gone I attended a wedding in New York, the first gay wedding that I have attended. Immediately after the formalities were done I said to some people that “it is not only my first gay wedding, it is also my first X wedding” (the “X” applying adjectivally to the wedding). Everybody to whom I said this said that it was also their first X wedding.
What was X?
(As some regulars are away clues will be slow in coming. And players are reminded that this is a family-friendly forum.)

Mormon? (hoping it is adjectival rather than adverbial or, as is more likely in terms of my grammar proficiency, remedial)

Are you really suggesting that it could have been a Mormon gay wedding? Really? If you are, no.PopulusTremula wrote:Mormon?

Though it was the first open-air wedding that I had attended, some others might well have attended a wedding of this type. So no.LGTrotter wrote:Open air wedding?
Was it? Maybe. But not the answer?CaliforniaBrad wrote:First day of summer/solstice wedding?
It might help to focus on the officiating minister (who, separately, admitted to having been on rum+something for six hours), but not on his religion nor like status.

Incomprehensible wedding?
Re: One quiz at a time
Drunken wedding? Though that could cause issues in the future...

A pencil sketch of you in speedos could make a great new avatar btw...

Nothing to do with attire or lack thereof. Focus on the officiating minister, not on me, not on the audience.LGTrotter wrote:You were all in swimwear, it was in a pool?

Yes. At weddings that I have previously attended the authority read from a book, or perhaps paper. Never before had I seen it done from an iPad. The Dog’s question.LGTrotter wrote:An iPad?

I heard a birdsong a few evenings back which I don't seem to hear that often anymore.
