I went to London Victoria to collect something from a man in a hat.

Ah. 0007. Even more deadly than the slightly more famous 007.

Surely a gentleman, not just a 'man'?!

Mysterious fellow, in hat, by platform 19. Who knows who he really is, or for which country he really works. I got my parcel; my job done.

I like the note in the box. Perhaps the mystery man also had a note on his gun saying "Don't shoot the pick-up guy".

TTF86: red, 50% opaque. Mid-weight, plum and some Taylor grittiness. Pleasant port, but in this company overwhelmed.

Brick red, pale orange rim; 20% opaque. Big nose, with lots of slightly sour rhubarb. Slightly sour on the palate too, with lots of dried fruit and a grapefruit acidity. The tannins are very noticeable on the palate. The acidity dominates over the fruit; a hot aftertaste leads to a white pepper and bramble finish. A pleasant port, but one which will be better in 10 years. 85/100. 22-Mar-13. Decanted 7 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
