Re: Latest buy
This thread got me over to ebay for a search, which turned this up.
It also turned up the artwork of Raymond Campbell, who frequently paints still-life's that include Port. He's somewhere in the UK, anyone reached out?

interesting background that is more appealing to look at than the old silver tag

If that happens, I would be pleased to open my vertical. I'll overpay for known good storage.
14 bottles, starting with '63 and ending with '07.
Note that you're still on the hook for the 1985 horizontal in '15. I have 23 bottles ready for that and know of another contributor who can expand it by 3 (at last check), so it's going to be an epic gathering even if some of the Ports are not quite as epic.

Hi Martin,
That's a cracking deal at the auction, even allowing for one duffer - well done!

Great deal in Tesco today Croft unfiltered lbv 1/2 bottles reduced from £8.29 to £4.20 but went through till at full price, when I went to customer services they refunded twice the difference! Pity my basket was overflowing as I could have had another 8.

Must admit to being quite pleased. They said the offer had ended but someone must have forgotten to take it off shelf so as it was still advertised at that price and they advertise that they will refund twice difference if they overcharge they had no option but to give refund.RAYC wrote:wait...so you paid 11p per Croft 2004 lbv...that must be a record, even for Tesco!!mpij wrote:Great deal in Tesco today Croft unfiltered lbv 1/2 bottles reduced from £8.29 to £4.20 but went through till at full price, when I went to customer services they refunded twice the difference! Re: Latest buy
Anyone got any current tips on supermarket purchases of NV tipples for routine consumption? Currently enjoying a Passadouro at the moment and the cellar is looking very unloved apart from a few of those. Urgently need to shop.

And from the Taylor tasting, 4D85, one of which requires immediate drinking. When shall we drink it?

I'm quite sure they will do anything provided it is legal and is paid for. I will send James an email and copy you in so that you and he can make arrangements.g-man wrote:Hey Derek,
