Introducing Myself
Hello, Port Lovers. I am William A. Wheatley, living in the Philadelphia suburbs in Pennsylvania, U.S.A. I am a direct descendant of Quarles Harris, whose port house grew to become the Symington empire today, making Quarles Harris, Martinez, Grahams Warre's, Dow's, Quinto do Vesuvio, Smith Woodhouse, and Gould Campbell. I am a mere architect, but I love to drink Port and have visited my distant cousins and their operations in Porto and the Douro Valley.

Welcome to the forums and it's a pleasure to have more members on this side of the pond.
Hopefully we can share a glass with fellow port lovers soon!

Hello William,
Welcome to - I assume you have looked into whether or not you have a valid claim to seize the liquid assets of your ancestor from the Symington cellars?

William,
Welcome to the Port Forum. Such distinguished family history will not go amiss. If you can call up the ghosts of a few ancestors to let us know where there are hidden stashes, it would be much appreciated.
Another architect? That makes at least two, a veritable plethora,
Cheers,
Alex
