2005 is probably best described as a minor vintage but a recent TTF gave considerable pleasure. The purpose therefore of this is thread is to assess interest in a ‘2005 at 21’ tasting in the autumn.
There being interest, the Red Room at the B&F has been booked for 3 November.

I would have been interested, but regret I cannot make 3rd November.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
2026: DR Very Old White, Graham Stone Terraces 2011, Quevedo Branco 1986 b.2026

I might have Vargellas and/or Madalena. Need to check.
Anyway, yes please.
Edit: checked, and stock is merely 1 × SWM05, 1 × TV05, 1 × Qv05, 2 × WC05. All are at your command.

I like the 2005s a lot. They may not have the same longevity as some others years, and seem to be earlier maturing, but also seem to be lovely. Probably time I opened a case. So, yes please. ChG, Ni, TTF, Q
(all currently unopened cases in storage, so would need notice please)

Three of my colleagues, one of whom has before attended, will now be joining us.
Maybe I'm starting a movement...

Please can I be added to the reserves? Definitely interested but cannot commit until closer to the time. I do have some bottles of 2005 kicking around - definitely a SW Madelina, possibly Taylor or Dow SQVP, I need to go digging...

I'm looking less likely to be able to make this now; a shame since I do like the vintage, but there we go.
At least I can open up a spot for Rich!

Sorry but I cannot make this now (friends insisting I visit Porto with them during this week). Happy to still provide the Pocas for the tasting.

I will be over in London late October so won't be able to make it to this. Please use up another sub from the bench.

I have checked and I have Portal in single bottle size so will bring that together with TTF and TV. I will then need to acquire or adopt one more bottle.

I have just carried out a quick audit and I appear to have TV, TTF, ChG, DSR and SWM. It would appear that the Senhora da Ribeira isn't already on the list but I'm happy to bring whichever is preferred if I'm able to attend.

I was wondering if either of Ian or Neil wanted to adopt a bottle from me if we'd rather not have double Niepoort on the night.
