A Ramos Pinto vertical was held on Tuesday 9th June 2026 (our first in 11.6 years), at the traditioonal Boot & Flogger, as arranged by Michael M., for whom Neil C. late deputised.

RP27, bottled 1932, from HTWH. Orange-brown, 20% opaque. Light and faded, but just present. Long, mandarins, but far far junior to the RP26.

A garrafeira bottled 1932. Reddish centre, yellow rim. Very attractive nose of baked plum. Palate is rich and powerful and still very discernibly port. Beeswax. Later, some orange suet pudding. This was wine well worth consuming and I am grateful again to its provider.
