99% opaque, bright red rim
Nose bursting with young touriga nacional grapes , the usual spearmint and blackcurrant compote notes
Palate is thick and lush and full of berry fruit - tayberry and lingonberry rather than strawberry of raspberry, the acid cut is remarkable
There may be some tannins but if there are they are utterly buried by the fruit even on the finish. No chocolate note at all
Amusing stuff, not for the long haul, but if I was an American sommelier I'd be serving it right now with a dark chocolate dessert
