@ Rummy - that is a lovely port...
Re: Latest buy
So I've been told. So far I've acquired 3 OWCs and 3 magnums, but I'm anxious to open one so young.

Re: Latest buy
Maybe I should. Had the Capela 2017 recently and was absolutely amazed by it. I've got some bids in an upcoming auction including another Niepoort 17 OWC, if I aquire it I will open one .Mike J. W. wrote: ↑19:34 Wed 11 Dec 2024You should open one. It's absolutely young, but it drinks very well after a long decant. I had one recently just to see where it was at and it was very nice.

10 various bottles of Noval 15, 18, 19 and 20 for £27-£32 each +vat from Hatton Edwards. Staggeringly cheap.

Re: Latest buy
Vista Alegre and the possible abbreviation VA were discussed in the Port brand abbreviation thread, and that conversation has been reopened with a new suggestion of Al.

Re: Latest buy
I appear to have broken my New Year’s resolution to buy no Port in 2025.
Damn you Vintage Wine & Port! You have convinced me that I need more discounted Tawny Port in my life!! (Which, to be honest, I do. Good tawny is my go to cellar defender. The more relevant question is whether I need to own any cellar defenders.)
I now own 6 more bottles of São Leonardo tawny / white than I used to and an extra bottle of garrafeira for me.

I love the Sao Leonardo Ports, especially their aged whites. I d have 2 questions for you though, Alex.Alex Bridgeman wrote: ↑01:30 Mon 06 Jan 2025 I appear to have broken my New Year’s resolution to buy no Port in 2025.

1. What were the ages on the Ports.?
2. Did the Vintage Wine & Port employees break into your house and force you at gunpoint to order it?
Re: Latest buy
Still collecting the 92 vintages (just Gilbert's left) and stumbled upon this beauty. I've got a few cases of the Malvedos, but will happily add this one to the collection.
