NV Graham Six Grapes River Quintas

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Graham Six Grapes. River Quintas edition released in 2017. Made from grapes grown in Quinta dos Malvedos’ ‘Vinha dos Barcos’ vineyard and Quinta do Tua’s old stone terraces. Dark red in colour, but softer in tone than the more recently released Vila Velha edition. Narrow rim. Floral redcurrant fruit on the nose, attractive and uncompromising. Smooth palate, sweet and fat fruit. Delightful acidity balances the fruit nicely. Much less overt tannin in the wine than the Old Vines edition, the tannins show themselves as a lovely cocoa undertone to the long raspberry fruit finish. Great length. 88/100.
