Tasted here

Panic-opened and double decanted at 2.30pm (for 6.30pm tasting) when S63 looked underweight. Had been stood for a week but could probably have used more of a decant. Cork soaked through and not as tight as it should have been.

Big minty herbaceous nose, rich sweet Xmas cake fruits, a touch of licquorice / ainseed, good spice and heat at finish. Not profound, but thoroughly enjoyable. 90 pts but with upside (both in maturity and with a better decanting regime). Possibly being overly-critical / mean with scoring because I expected a bit more, and was tasted next to two fine mature ports.
