NV Sandeman 20 YO Tawny

Post by rich_n »

It's Sandeman. It's their 20YO Tawny. I'm not telling anyone here anything they don't already know, so this one's for me.

Nose is butterscotch and red berries. A touch of oak and vanilla. Sweet and slightly spirity.

Palate opens with red fruit - more strawberries and less tart than the nose. Caramel, at least hints of it. Then a tonne of orange citrus acidity - almost an overwhelming amount - before sour red cherries lead into a nice long finish that dries a touch. A nice complex 20 YO but maybe not fully to my palate.
