Chestnut brown colour with a hint of green on the rim. A nose distinctly Madeira in nature, lots of toffee and a little orange. A wonderful, wonderful palate! Sweet and full of orange zest yet with honey lifting the palate. Rich and very flavoursome - but very sweet. Such a sticky, honeyed finish. Absolutely fabulous! Served blind, this was guessed to be Blandy's Malvasia 1954. 94/100. Tasted 09-Jan-20. Decanted 22 hours
