From OWC, each bottle wrapped in straw. Acquired circa 2005. So no. Since acquisition stored in a natural Tudor cellar in Sussex, then in an Victorian cellar in London with AC. Previous bottles from this batch, e.g., have been excellent.

A lovely full rich red. Dumb nose. Palate full of life. Arguable still needs time? Tannins still present. Lovely - would have made a spectacular wine as the focus of an evening.

G66: glorious red, 30% opaque. Sub-par — light, bitter, a hint of red fruit, and cherries late. A shame, as others from this batch have been excellent.

Graham 1966, Oporto bottled. A dark and mature appearing burnt ochre colour, 50% opaque. Wonderful on the nose with plenty of sweet fruit; just delicious. Sweet on the palate with bright and vibrant fruit. This is lovely, a wine for the ages, but hasn’t yet developed the spiced complexity of its older siblings at this tasting. Be patient, it will. 92/100. Tasted 14-May-2024. Opened at 19.30, double decanted the following day at 07.30 and tasted at 18.15.

G66. Very light garnet. Nose starts out with faint esteva, them proceeds to ripe red fruit and finally some faint stone fruits. Mature fruits in the mouth with some tannins and balanced acidity. Relatively full body considering its age. This is a rock star! 95 points.
