NV Villa Oeiras 7YO Carcavelos. Matured in used oak casks. Warm golden colour, 20% opaque. Floral and honeyed nose, sweet and perfumed. Smooth palate, ripe apricot and mandarin; there is plenty of fruit, honey and a good level of acidity to keep the balance. Gentle on the palate with the fragrant citrus really showing well on the aftertaste and finish. The finish carries a little more pepper and has an interesting bite to the wine. Very pleasant, sweet but not overly so - perhaps semi-sweet in style.  88/100. Tasted 10-Mar-24.
