Hello
I am lucky/unlucky enough to know Dr Michael Charlton - he claims to be known around these parts. I have just returned from a rather delightful trip to Porto with him and some chums, where we tried some lovely ports, particularly at a Niepoort tasting. We also had the joys of going on the public Calem tour, I did end up with some nice Colheita from the shop though afterwards!
I'm based in Central London and hope to get along to some TPF events in due course.
I did the WSET L3 in Wine last year, and am doing their L2 in Spirits in Dec this year.

Re: Hello
Thanks for reminding me, Oliver - I need to put a write up of the Niepoort visit on here!

Re: Hello
Gentlemen, welcome to both of you.
I’m sure Michael has told you what a bad influence we are. We can’t wait for you to join us for one of our tastings and find out for yourselves.

Top Ports in 2022: Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port. I cried with joy.
2023: Fonseca 1966. There are not many better Ports, except a good bottle of Fonseca 1927. Wow!
