1981 Quevedo White Colheita (bottled 2021)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled in 2021 for the 2021 Advent calendar. Burnt sugar in colour, 20% opaque with just a little sediment in the glass. Amazing nose of fresh apricot and dried flowers. A palate full of dried yellow fruit, honey and powerful acidity. A second layer of flavour floods across the mid-palate. The aftertaste is an explosion of dried fruit flavours, pineapple and lychee. Fabulous. 93/100. Drunk 19-Feb-23. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
