1980 Graham

Decanted 08.00, tasted 19.40. Deep red with a brick-red edge. Big on the nose, bringing slightly bitter yet ripe fruit. Smooth entry onto the palate with powerful acidity, pure fruit and soft tannins. The acidity keeps the fruit well focused on the mid- and late palate; still full of confident youthfulness. Bright and lively and quite lovely aftertaste and finish. This is a modestly big wine with some very well integrated tannins. 92/100. Drunk 17-Jan-23.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
