1970 Warre
Soft and faint on the nose, not having had any time in the decanter to develop. Soft fruit dominated palate, nicely matured red fruit with some assertive acidity. The fruit is lively and persistent on the palate and long finish of lingering loganberry. 91/100. Consumed 15-Dec-22. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2022: Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port. I cried with joy.
2023: Fonseca 1966. There are not many better Ports.
