1960 Dow

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From Ian Johns. Identified from the cork. Rich and spiced on the nose, mature fruit - smelling wonderful. Smooth, elegant and balanced entry. Rich fruit with a slight dry edge, but rich enough to fill the mouth and senses. A slight hollowness on the aftertaste before a rich fruitcake finish settles in. Lovely dried red fruit. A wonderfully mature wine. 90/100. Consumed 15-Dec-22. Decanted 2 hours.
Top Ports in 2022: Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port. I cried with joy.

2023: Fonseca 1966. There are not many better Ports.
